Question about Cars & Trucks
My car is idling low. It started out at 1,000 rpm and my dad drove it to the store less than a mile from my house and it dropped to 200 rpm. We have unplugged the battery as suggested by the Infiniti forum, next to reset the throttle body. Can you help??
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Your idle air control valve sounds like it is failing. This is basically a solenoid that actuates at idle to allow air for proper combustion and maintain idle.

i just fixed this problem - the switch is bad - take out the seat - 4 bolts on the bottom 4 corners and then remove the whole switch - either buy a new one around $200 or unsauter the switch and clean it but be careful as there are a lot of parts inside that can fall out. i cleaned mine and it works fine beats spending the money.

SOURCE: Infiniti G35 speakers don't work
03 and 04 G35 vehicles had a Technical Service Bulletin issued regarding the audio circuit board. No sound was one of the symptoms of a faulty circuit board. There was a design flaw with the boards on the early model G35's that was corrected in 05.The audio units on those cars consisted of three pieces, the radio itself, which is just a silver box, a circuit board that attaches to the front of the radio and then the outer display. I would suggest contacting a dealership service dept. with your VIN number in hand, and ask if the circuit board has been replaced. Even if it has, It will still more than likely be the problem. It's either that or the radio

1st gen throttle body they rarely fail, I recommend to remove and clean the unit first before replacing one, used Valvoline throttle body cleaner only; when you have the unit out, take your time and clean it slowly soak it completely with the solvent. refurbish run you 90-100 bucks from RockAuto.com, another place to look is junk yard, don't buy new. 30 minute job cleaning or replacing the unit. If it serve my memories correctly, 350z use the same throttle body as G35 up to 07'. hope that help some

Typical G35 problem.
I believe my coupe had both of it's regulators replaced by the previous owner before I bought it.
They aren't cheap, but are pretty easy to swap yourself. Give Tony at Riverside Infiniti a call. He has some great prices (personal friend of mine).
Or check EverythingG35.com (Infiniti of Scottsdale).
