Can I replace stock 215/55R16 tires with 215/60R16 tires

The stock tire has a diameter of 25.3" the other tire has a diameter of 26.2"

While I recommend not deviating from the stock tire size 1" should not make that much of a difference.

Remember, the suspension, brakes, abs, traction control, and general safety are all designed to be most beneficial using the stock tire size. Using a different size tire can affect all of these things.

Can you run different size tires on the front than back of 1989 audi 200 quattro

under no circumstances. these vehicles are designed to run in sync with the calibrated tire size, different tire sizes will cause damage to the all wheel drive system. further, it is also recommended that you run the same tire model on all 4 corners as well, so as to provide equal readings. 2 different tire manufacturers, even if they are the exact same size, will have slightly different dimensions.

Tire size for yukon xl 2002?

Tire sizes are on the drivers door label. It will have the tire sizes and how much air should be put in them. There might be 2 or 3 different tire sizes. If you put on different tire size then the cluster has to be programmed to the tire size that is on the vehicle so that the speedometer is accurate.Hope this helps.Good luck.

I just bought an awd 2004 x-type. It had two different sets of tires on the front and back. I just purchased 4 new tires for the car. Do you think that the different tire brand on the previous tires would...

no it wouldnt hurt ,so long as the two tyres on the front were the same make and size ,with the correct speed rating ,same as the rear but the make is indifferent .

Different tire sizes...

I've always heard that it is ok to put different size tires on the front and back as long as the vehichle is not AWD.  The two different size tires turn at different rates and can cause problems for you.  I would probably change the other two.

Auto 4 wd on 2003 trailblazier is not cutting off.

Hi there... The different size is tires could be causing you problem. The other thing is that if you are using your 4x4 with the two different sized tires, you are causing more damage than you think. The reason is that with two different sized tires, your axles are rotating at different speeds. This is ok in 2wd becuse there is no power transfer to the fronts but once you engage the 4wd, now you have power to the fronts and rears and could damage the differentials.

2000 Ford Explorer AWD purchased with different size tires

It is true that driving with different size tires can damage the transfer case, depending on how long it was driven like that. But--- even if the tires are the same size it can cause this. if the tires are worn and two tires are new the circumference of the tires must not be more than 1/2 inch difference from each other, take a tape measure and put it around the tire in the center and measure the difference of each tire
