SOURCE: how to replace a coolant level sensor, 2000 buick century

The coolant level sensor is located on the radiator. If you are looking at the engine from the front of the car it will be on the left side. There will some kind of clip holding it in the radiator. Removed the clip and pull the sensor out. You will lose coolant so try to swap it out quick or drain some of the coolant out. Once new sensor is installed, install clip to keep the sensor in place and reconnect the wires to the sensor. Crank the engine and make sure the coolant level is full. This should correct your problem.

SOURCE: 1999 Buick Century headlights don't work properly

Iam an ASE Certified mechanic and i had the same problem with my 99 century and i wasnt able to drive at night. After hours of testing wires we came to the problem. Its the turn signal switch assembly which is tied into the hazard switch on top of the steering column. Its all one piece with a 3 foot long wiring harness attached to it running down the bottom of the steering column and going underneath the dash. The least expensive place i found the part and had it in stock was my local Auto Zone and still the part was $200.00.

P.S. This is a common problem on these GM cars. Mine did the same thing to the tee! The lights will go on and off then they just went off for good and this solved the problem. I guarantee it. If you have any questions please email me i will do all i can to help.

SOURCE: odometer light out on buick century not working

Sadly no, there is no fuse or bulb to replace. You either have to send the instrument cluster out for repair or replace it with a new unit from the dealer. You could also obtain a serviceable one from a salvage yard. Most shops should be able to replace the instrument cluster or advise who can repair it.

SOURCE: 2000 Buick Century gas gauge reads full all the time

You're either looking at a short in the wire that goes to the fuel sender, or a bad fuel sender. If it was just a broken wire, it would read empty instead. The fuel sender is a permanent part of the fuel pump, so that has to be replaced as a unit.

Headlights

I doubt it, but its possible.
If the alternator is working and the battery stays charged, I would check the voltage at the lights, as well as the ground connection.

Which hole do i put the fuse for lighter to work in my 2000 buick century

if you have the owners manual it should give proper amp and location of fuses otherwise check both sides of each fuse with a test light for power when you find the one with power only on one side remove and replace that fuse the lighter fuse should have power with key off some fuses need key on to light up at all and some will need items such as headlights turned on to light

Hi my 2001 Buick century will not turn over why did this happen even after trying a boost did not make it turn,,car did not have any problem in the pass just happen this morning what would cause this not...

The most common cause is a bad battery or corroded battery connections to the battery. Try to loosen and re-tighten the battery terminals at the battery. It helps when you have your headlights turned on. So that you can see if the headlights get brighter when your tightening the terminals. I hope this helps :)
