In the Fuse Box there are Fuses for this. They are labeled as "Guages" "Illumination"and Speed on some Models. Get a Flashlight and look Really close at the Fuses. There should be at least one that is Blown.

If the car turns over really fast then it could be the timing belt, Does your car have an immobiliser? with it starting and running for a few seconds it sounds like an issue with the key not communicating with the car.
first see if it will run on spray either,you know starter fluid. get it at walmart. if it will run on this for a few seconds your problem is fuel or fuel pump,usually located in the gas tank
sit in car with all doors shut then turn ignition on and off 4 times within 6 seconds then a audable sound goes off ,wait ten seconds then turn ignition off and it should reset the remote control key
yes there is if you drop down the glove box lid and remove the bolts holding the fuse box. unclip the fues box and pull it down. turn the fuse box around and there is a fuse on the back (i thing its a 15amp)
this is the other fuse for the central locking.

needs a vehicle speed sensor, its on the trans. if the engine was just put in( within like 2 or 3 days, not weeks) then it may have been busted in the engine swap. hope this helps and good luck
