The drains are plugged or the drain tube is disconnected on the passengers side allowing water to run down the passenger side pillar or out the disconnected tube and the bcm is there in behind kick panel. Body control module. Try drying it out with forced air and maybe even heat. If no luck after that try hooking battery cable for a bit to reset as well. If nothing try the dealer and mentioned. The bcm and may be the problem. I have an 06 h3 and have had troubles with the sunroof drains before. I joined a drum and learned the cure.

I had the same problem, Youl need to do one of the following, Change the eginition module or change the driver side control pannael the one for the window/locks (if you can crank the key a bit when its turned off it may help sometimes) sometimes a bit of rain comes in the window and down into the control (locks/window switch) and shorts it out. Trust me I spent time and money to figure out its that or your egnition module. EBAY for the parts it will only cost $100

the next time you do get it out,take the key to any hardwear store that makes key's,have them make a dupe if they have a blank,so you have a copy,then have them run your key on there wire brush to smoth all the sharp edges,if it still sticks, then replace the ignition sylinder. good luck
