How to put a heater core on a 1994 Chevrolet van

You need to remove the battery cable just as a precaution against cutting a wire and shorting it out. Then drain the radiator, remove the 2 heater hose from the heater core going into the firewall, remove the bottom pan inside on the heater and you will see the heater core loosen the small clip and core will come out. If you have air in the van you will have an evap. core on the right inside by the blower motor but you do not need to remove it to replace the heater core. When refilling the radiator be sure to put the anti-freeze back in slowly as not to cause an air lock. Once you have it filled start the van an let it run until the thermostat opens and then you will need to add some more fluid. Good Luck.

How to replace the heater core on a 2006 jeep wrangler right hand drive

Recommend you visit a library of an auto parts store, and you will find a set of books that you can buy or check-out that will walk you through the process.
The books are model specific. ( ex. 2000-2008 Jeep Wrangler)
The question you have asked will take many pages of detailed answers, as there are about 100 steps.
God bless your efforts.

I have 2000 astro van and I'm not getting heat, I changed thermo stat and flushed heater core. Still no heat, whats the next step?

Feel your heater hoses. If both are hot, the core is circulating. If only one is hot-poor or no circulation of the core.
If the heater core is circulating, the temperature blend door may not be working to let blower air pass across the heater core, and into the vents. If vacuum operated, watch the vacuum valves as you move heater controls-you may spot the problem. Check that the vacuum line from the engine to the control switch is working and still connected. If not operated by vacuum, the controls may have cables to the heater case or may be electrically operated. You'll just have to scope it out. Good luck.

What is the process to putting in heater core in 1983 chevy silverado?

If it is necessary to remove the heater assembly, the cooling system must be drained before removing the heater core.
When a heater core leaks, a new heater core is installed or the old one repaired.
Heater Housing
  • The heater housing is usually under the dash and must be removed to gain access to the heater core.
  • Procedures for replacing the heater core vary with the year, make, and model of car. It threfore necessary to consult the manufacturer's repair manuals for the proper procedure for replacement.
f74-01.gif The heater housing is disassembled to get to the heater core. Heater Core
  • Remove the access panels(s) or the split heater/air conditioning case to gain acess to the heater core.
  • Remove the heater coolant hoses.
  • Remove the cable and/or vacuum control lines (if equipped).
  • Remove the heater core securing brackets and/or clamps.
  • Lift the core from the case. Do not use force. Take care not to damage the fins of the heater core when removing.
  • To reinstall the heater core, reverse the removal steps.
When the heater core leaks and must be repaired or replaced, it is a very difficult and time-consuming job primarily because of the core's location deep within the firewall of the car. For this reason always leak test a replacement heater core before installation.

1994 plymouth voyager heating problems. Just

After the car warms up feel the heater hoses that go into the fire wall from the motor both should be warm if only one is warm and the other is cool the heat valve that opens the flow of antifreeze to the heater core is not functioning locate the valve (either under dash in passenger compartment or in the egine compartment) it has a vacuum line going to it and it should have vacuum when the heat is on if not replace the vacuum line or valve itself. Back flush heater core and also be sure the level of antifreeze is up to the top low antifreeze will cause no heat to occur.
