Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: need to replace BCM 98

You remove the neg battery before you start, the only proble is you should have the new computer flash programed first, there are many part stores that will program it for you, not sure if you are going new or used.i have have repleced a few with used and they just plug in and work but the mileage is wrong and the vin # is wrong if you dont care about that then plug and play. if you have a problem which sometimes happens then you will need the dealer to program the computer for you, but you will still save alot by doing it reself, check with who you are buying it from they should ask for the vin # and the mileage and they will program it for you and if thats the case then theres no problem, install and connect the battery and start it, you may have to use the gas pedal to get it started and hold it at idle for a few minute and then let gas go, this is just until the computer relearns the idle, you dont have to hold the gas at exactly the idle speed just hold it to keep it running you can hold it around 1000 rpms doesnt matter. good day,

SOURCE: need bcm for 98 plymouth grand voyager se 3.3

need to be sure if it does or does not have antitheft, and most of your local salvage yards can help you find one. call chrysler service and inquire with your vin and ask them if it has antitheft or not they will most likely give you that info.

2005 buick lacross parking lights will not turn off

The park lamp relay contacts are stuck shut ,probably ! Do you know where the rear fuse box is ? Under the back seat . Check the relay first , if that's not the problem then the vehicles BCM maybe at fault .
The body control module (BCM) controls the park lamp relay through the park lamp relay control circuit. The BCM grounds the park lamp relay control circuit which energizes the PK LP relay.

Dome and door lights stay on and run down battery - dealer says we must replace bcm - is there any other solution other than a new part - can a used bcm be a replacement or is there another work around?

I ahve used a used bcm and it workwed out fine as long as the part number crosses over. A good salvage yard should be able to cross over the part number.
