Maybe a problem with actuator doors under the dash or dash controls. If vacuum controlled and vacuum is lost, it should default to defrost.

You may have to check if squirrel cage came loose from motor shaft?

compressors and evaporator /condenser units are designed to work as a unit so getting a compressor from another car may not make it work in your car. go to an accredited ac specialist and they will have a list of compatible compressors that can be used in your vehicle

on the frame on the drivers side

First, get the code for your radio unit from your local dealer. It has an anti-theft device that will disrupt your radio, without the code you cannot get it going again. Next, take the positive lead from the battery for about 2 minutes and put it back on. This will reset your system, it may or may not activate your anti-theft device. GM has just came out with a recall for this problem. It involves the power steering motor. You will get a notice in the mail if your car is involved.

yeah you can check your fuses on the driver side under the dash board, you will find one of them blowed.

you need the electrical part of the ignition switch this is a common problem on this model.

pop it out, very easily. After that four screws. then unplug the ac control.

have u check ur systems freon pressure cause ur a/c wont come on if its low u can buy a gauge and check it and add it yourself
