You should avoid a dealer and go to a local shop
to save money
You have to take in ,as you put it,anytime you get
any MIL Lamp or check lamp on the dash
Expect to have at least one a year
Your not servicing,your diagnosing trouble codes,
related to emission issues.
It could be a bad gas cap,but you don't throw
parts at it,you test first

The two screws hold the rear of the tail light in place. The front of the tail light is held in place by two pins that fit inside two sleeves. After removing the screws, gently rock the lens and pull straight back toward the rear of the car. The pins will slip out of the sleeves and you have access to the bulbs.
