Probably the best thing for you is to slip off the Serpetine belt and check each pulley for roughness when you turn them. You will have bearings in the Alternator, water pump, and power steering as well as the A/C.

I will save you some effort by referring to your Warranty. You have bearings in the Crankshaft, Camshaft, and piston Rods. With your 10 year/ 100,000 mile Engine Warranty they may have to diagnose what is wrong to eliminate their responsibility.

Also I am not educated about the extent of a KIA warranty, whether it is for a short-block, long-block, or how much covers bolt-on components.

Please rate my info.

The timing belt may be touching something. You will need to look at the belt to see if it is rubbing. I would also ensure all lines were connected, could be a vacuum line making the noise???

2006 Kia Spectra is making a high frequency whistling noise, but it only makes the noise when slowing down from 40mph to 35mph if i apply the breaks the noise stops and if i accelerate the noise stops any...

Is it a squeel or a hum / rumble? 1st run your hands around the tyres especially the inside. Check for hi and low spots on the tyres. If the tyre is hi low hi low hi low it makes a shocking sound. if it is a squeel noise have they checked your brakes cause brakes have squeelers to let you know they need changeing

Ineed to know where my camshaftsensor on a 2006 kia spectra 5 is located

The camshaft Position Sensor in a 2006 Kia Spectra is located in the cylinder head on the right side of the head near the front of the engine. (if you are standing at the passenger fender area, this will be on YOUR left on the side of the engine nearest the windshield.) (See Diagram)

NOTE: if you are trying to fix a cam sensor code, it should be noted that MANY cam sensor fault codes can be caused by things OTHER than a defective cam sensor. For example, loose timing belt components can cause erratic cam sensor readings and cause the computer to set a code for the cam sensor. Proper diagnosis should be performed.

Our 2003 kia spectra has a metalic rattle when you drive over uneven pavement or speed bumps. we ckeck suspension brakes wheel bearings shocks exshaust what is it

The heat shields that are positioned between the exhaust pipe and floorboard or between the exhaust pipe and sensitive electrical components are made of very cheap, thin, tin-like metal. When they rust on one side, one of the tabs comes loose and the whole shield will vibrate especially when accelerating. Since you are getting the noise when you hit a bump, you might check the area where you stow the spare tire (loose tools may be vibrating against the metal). Also the plastic protective pieces behind front bumper sometimes tear and will "flap' against the car and sound like a metallic vibration when you hit a bump especially if you were stuck in snow recently. Look for loose plastic pieces.
