Torque setting Toyota Land-cruiser 80 Series 4.5 1995-98
Engine code: 1FZ-FE, 1HD.
Stage 1: 20 Nm (Start tightening bolts from center to outwards)
Stage 2: 39 Nm
Stage 3: Rotate each bolt by 90 Degrees.
Stage 4: Further rotate each bolt by 90 Degrees

1. Clean the cylinder head bolts and the threads in the block. Make sure the bolts turn freely in the block. 2. Install a new head gasket on the engine block. Make sure the
camshaft sprocket timing marks are still aligned, as set during the
removal procedure. Install the cylinder head. 3. Lubricate the bolt threads and seat surfaces with clean engine oil
and install them. Torque the bolts in 2-3 steps to 56-60 ft. lbs.
(75-81 Nm) in the proper sequence.
put some locktite or contact adhesive on the bolts ,cannot find this vehicle listed in my alldata book but the nearest is a 2.5 engine which is showing 65nm and another showing 112 nm so it must depend on the shank size of the bolts used ,the bigger the shank the highrer the torque ,so if they have 15mm heads then its 65nm if they have 19mm heads then its 112 nm
I'm sending you the torque specifications for your main bearings and also your head bolts. I also sent you main bearing and cylinder head tightening sequence. I hope this will be useful
Main Bearings Torque specs. 40-43 Ft. Lbs.
Cylinder Head Torque specs. 56-60 Ft. Lbs.
According to my haynes manual for G-S reg, 1989-1998 it goes as follows,
Stage 1:- Tighten all bolts by hand until bolt heads just contact cyl. head.
Stage 2:-Tighten all bolts to 40Nm or 30lb ft.
Stage 3:-Angle tighten all bolts a further 60 degrees.
Stage 4:-Angle tighten all bolts again a further 60 degrees.
Stage 5:- M12 x 140mm bolts ONLY angle tighten a further 20 degrees.
