SOURCE: Passenger front headlamp bulb replacement required

Remove the carpet covering the inside near the headlight. Remove round rubber plug. (pull hard, the plug has NO WIRES coming out of it) Use the 5mm wrench that is in the toolkit. (toolkit is behind the spare tire). Turn the wrench 180 degrees and the whole headlight assembly will loosen. Pull out the whole assembly. Remove plastic end cap. The high beam, low beam and parking bulbs are all right inside that cover. Just did my 2002 for the first time. This is also covered in the manual if you have one. Thanks, [email protected]

SOURCE: I have a 1998 Z3

hi.
the side light and the high beam will be different bulbs. they may appear to be the same, but if you look carefully, there is a smaller bulb, normally just below the main bulb. the sidelight will usually be a small 5watt bulb where the main beam bulb will be much larger, and anywhere between 45 and 65 watts. look for the smaller bulb and replace that first..

Three brake lights went out. Replaced little bulb and it works

hi from uk if all bulbs ok? and ou have checked fuse then the problem is most probably the brake light switch that is stuck in the off position ie the plunger which is supposed to come out and put light on being plastic they do sometimes stick the switch is just above the brake pedal and has a 2xpin plug attached if you unplug and connect the 2 terminals using a wire or paperclip ? then have an assistant check if lights work? if yes then check to see if the plunger on switch is failing to come out when you press pedal ? if yes ? then switch is faulty but if plunger is stuck use wd 40 and work the plunger by twisting and pressing in/out to free it ? then recon the plug and try lights ? if switch is faulty ? easy diy to replace it simply screws out from pedal box assy ten fit new switch and adjust by screwing so lights are off with pedal off and on as pedal is pressed approx 1/2 " to operate lights to on ! this is simply trial/error untill you are happy ? hope this helps best wishes from n/west uk

Centre brake light works but no outside lights

Hello,
From your very brief description I would purchase two replacement bulbs for the lights that aren't working, although you may have looked at them and they seem o.k. the filiaments on the brake light side are heavier than sidelight ones so if fused sometimes you can't see the break in them.
As your third brakelight is fully functional this is the reason I would be looking for replacement.
I hope this helps? please remember to appraise my FREE effort and press that Blue button if sorted, Thank You!

Brake lights

hi from uk not too sure on elantra but will try to help? if car is hatchback ? lift up hatch and look at the water drain channel alongside lamp? if there are 3x screws? unscrew and lift lamp off then unclup bulb/lamp board from lens bulbs are bayonet fitting if saloon then open boot look to rear of lamp in boot for either clip on panel or carpet covering lamp rear remove and look for some kind of nylon head screw bolt/s or 10 mm nuts? that my hold the lamp in place to body? or you may ?find the bulb/lamp board is simply a clip in to the lens assy as 1st example ? in that case just unclip and change bulb/s with no need to remove lens assy with a little patience you will succeed hope this helps
