Question about 2002 Ford Escape
I had rolled down the driver side window. The window would not roll back up. It was down partially so I tried to roll it down and it worked. All other windows work. The drivers window will not respond. There is no sound from it at all. Someone else thought they noticed that the lights went a little dim when I pushed the window button. does this sound like the window regulator?

It is most likely the switch itself. since the down works that means that there is power going to the switch. So, the up position switch is probably worn out.

you'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. and disconnect the window switch and you can test that.. if it's not that. then you may have a broken actuator or motor. You can then pull off the weather seal in order to see the inside of the door....
