Just recently I was going out and I stopped at a stop light and when i accelerated through my car started shaking like I was in gear and letting my clutch out. Then my check engine light went on. I was almost on empty and was told that maybe I had gotten some bad gas and to try an engine cleaner and a new tank of gas. I have done that and have driven almost half a tanks worth and have not noticed any difference in the performance one way or another. Please help!
Drive your car to an auto parts store to get a OBII Diagnostic trouble code. It could be several things. One of which are the MAP or MAF sensors.EGR valve, dirty injectors. If your code comes up P0171 or P0174, it means a lean mixture. means there is more air than fuel going through the fuel sytem. Another possibility is the Idle position sensor.The easiest way to start is to get a trouble Code.
Check your plugs and plug wires.you may get lucky and a wire may be off, but even if you have to change them its fairly cheep.good luck
