My truck is a 92 tacoma and 01 tundra but they both are similar. unwind the cable by the back bumper there is a slot that the part of the jack handle is slipped into the the crank to lower or lift the spare tire. Sometimes u might have to lower and pull the plate down due to dirt, mud or whatever that might be holing it up. slide the tire under the truck and position the plplate in the middle of the rim. Crank it back up making sure that it is centered and secure to the bottom of the frame.

SOURCE: 2008 toyota tacoma whistling noise

I don't know how loud the noise is, but its weird that you mention 50 mph. At that speed or above you are keep a constant rpm level. I say this because it might just be your air box loose and the sound of the intake air is making it. A 2008 truck should not have any major problem. Sometimes an alternator will sing or whine but never heard anyone say something is whistling. One other thing is sometimes for some reason ive heard a noise like that coming from the speakers of my car that goes up and down with the speed of the motor, but that was when I was tinkering with speakers and sub outs and amps. Thats all I can think of.

SOURCE: 07 Toyota Tacoma Exclamation Light

If you get the exclamation point (!) light that's with a U-shape, it's likely that one or more of your TIRES has low pressure. I also had this once, and it, too, was on a cold January day in New Hampshire (-8ºF).
When you have your tire pressures checked, do remember, however, that you actually have FIVE (5) tires, including the SPARE.  My problem turned out to be low pressure in that SPARE!

Where is the spare tire on a 97 Toyota tacoma?

It is under the truck bed. Look underneath from the tailgate and you should be able to see it. Some of them are encased in plastic these days to protect the spare from debris from the road.

I believe on the earlier Tacomas there should be a notch (maybe between the bottom of the tailgate and the bumper) for the tire iron to go into to access a nut to lower the spare tire

Where is spare tire located, i can't find it any where on my 2008 toyato sienna.

Underneath, right side, towards middle. You get it down by putting middle pass. side seat all the way back, pass. seat all the way forward. Pull up the mat, undo the bolt, the spare tire drops. There's a little piece of metal holding the spare tire: take that out and put the tire on.

2007 toyota tacoma pressure sensor

If your new rims do not have the transmitters installed, the light is not going to go out.

If the new rims do have the transmitters installed, and one is broken during the installation, the light will not go out. It is common for tire machines to damage the transmitters.

If the rims have the transmitters installed, and all the tires are at the proper inflation, I would check the spare tire pressure. It too is monitored.

Thnaks for choosing FixYa for assistance. Please feel free to comment back if you have any futher questions. Thanks.

Reset the Low Pressure Tire Indicator Light

If you have the silver-metal valve cores, on the rims, there is NO reset proceedure. Under the valve cores is a transmitter, which is battery powered. It sends a "yes/no" signal to the tire pressure ECM. Note that ALL 5 tires transmit to the ECM. The signal is "at or above" the specific target pressure needed, or is is below the target pressure. What to do: get a GOOD tire pressure gauge, not those cheap ones that look like pencils. Set the tire pressures to the specification, INCLUDING the spare. Your light should go out. If not, there is the possibility that one of the sensors is innoperative, and that will involve a trip to the dealership, to get it replaced under warranty. Try the tire pressure resetting, adn don't forget the spare. Get back to me if this works. Glad to help, and thanks for choosing FixYA.

Red Set button underneath the steering wheel

I believe this is for your tire pressure sensors. If the tire pressure in one of your tires drops it will alert you with a light on your dash. When tire pressure is restored, press this button to reset the sensor.
