Question about 2006 Hyundai Sonata
My daughter's car with 174,000miles which she jumps in drives 7 blocks and parks until school's out then comes home. Weather has been from minus 5 to minus 26 for the past week. The oil light came on, and when I checked oil level it was an 1/8 " over full and smelled like gas. There was fluid around the oil fill like pressure had built up and sprayed a little out. Weather had warmed to 20's and light nolonger came on Took it to my mechanic and ran diagnostic tests which showed everything in good working order. The O2 senser was not occillating as quickly as he wanted to see,but no codes were written. He changed the oil, and changed the fuel filter. Called tech support and they suggested changing oil every 1-2000 miles. Are we missing something?
