Question about 2005 Chevrolet Colorado
About once a week my colorado , get in it to start it , turns over wont start, sets about 10-15mins fires right up ? any info? thanks
This happened on my 06, the first two times i brought it in they said nothing was wrong with it. Well, it kept happening and i noticed that when it did this that the security system light on the dash would blink. 15 mins later i could retry it and it would or wouldnt start right up. Went to the dealership and they had to replace the ignition because it kept engaging the vehicle engine immobilizer.

If it is a diesel engine and if it is cold climates I could see this being easy to diagnose (plug the truck up or let your plugs warm for a bit in the morning) but if it is a gas powered engine then it sounds like either a loose wire or maybe the air filter is starting to get so nasty that it doesn't want to run??? Hope that will at least give you one more thing to check...
