Hi I have a 2002 dodge caravan and its leaking power steering fluid, not from the top were the fluid is pour in but from the bottom of the van. I can't really tell where is coming from. If anyone can

Your gonna have to get your power steering hoses replaced. There are steel parts of the power steering lines and they rust and eventually start to leak and then get worse to where you have no power steering at all.. around the 10 year mark is where they do it.

What's your problem? power steering wines

I would try replacing the fluid disconnect line crank engine and keep adding fluid till it runs clean. Use the right fluid my manual for my car say's ATF+4. If you put in the wrong fluid like regular power steering fluid you will burn out the pump in a few minutes. Your calls for Chrysler PS fluid.http://youtu.be/8mRa95CWoNQ Watch this

I have a 2002 dodge caravan sport with a 3.3 engine and my power steering resovoir is empty and a puddle of power steering fluid on the ground. what is the cost and repair

Hard to guess the cost until we know the component that has failed. It could be; power steering pump, resevoir, hoses, presure switch, or steering rack. Some one will have to climb under there and see which one it is.

The most exspensive one is the steering rack which would cost about 1000.00 - 1200.00 to replace and it requires the vehicle get an alignment when the job is finished.

I have no power steering and I see a puddle of red liquid on the ground.

Hi,

That red puddle is the fluid that leaks out from your power steering.

There are some possible leakage, it maybe in your powwr steering hose, pump, and rack and pinion.

The only way you could determine where the leakage is to have your car checked by a technician/mechanic.

Try to put some haydraulic fluid in the power steering conatiner, so that you could go to the garage and have them fix it.

How to replace a powersterling pulley on 1999 dodge grand caravan

The procedure to remove the power steering pulley out of the 1999 dodge caravan engine is as follows:----

· First disconnect the black, negative cable from the battery.

· Then Take off the windshield wiper module.

· Raise the front of the vehicle using a jack.

· Then from underneath the vehicle remove the drive belt splash shield .

· Locate the power steering pump bracket and--working from underneath the car--loosen the through bolt; then remove the pressure hose routing bracket.

· Place a catch pan on the floor, underneath the power steering pump fluid reservoir, and siphon as much steering fluid from the tank; then remove the pressure and fluid supply hoses from the pump.

· Take off the rear pump mounting bolt and front mounting bolts through the pulley. Make sure to grab and keep the spacer located between the pump and mounting bracket once you remove the bolts.

· Take the pump and pulley assembly over the aluminum bracket and out of the engine.

Reinstall all parts and new pulley in reverse.

Thanks. keep updated for any more query.you can rate this solution and show your appreciation.

MY POWER STEERING WONT HOLD THE FLUIDS SO ITS HARD TO STEER AND TURN WHAT PIECE I NEED SO I CAN GET IT FIX

it is probably a broken line. Fill pump up and watch the hoses and lines while some else turns the wheel back and forth with the motor running.

1998 Dodge Grnd Caravan is leaking steering fluid. Hoses appear to be in good shape. Could this indicate an imminent steering pump failure?

Hard to say where the leak is coming from. Check to see if on the end of the rubber hose (where it meets the metal) is saturated. If it is more than likely your high pressure line is starting to leak. Common problem in alot of vehicles.
