Do you mean hard to steer your steering wheel?
If you have a noise when you are turning your steering wheel, you may have low power steering fluid. Add power steering fluid into your power steering fluid reservoir to the level required (check with your manual book). Make sure you get the right power steering fluid for Audi A4. Hope it will help
Check the fluid level, and then check that all the leads, one to each brake assembly, are clean and secure at the connection. ( a favorite with garages is to not put them back as they founds them!!). Good luck
Check to make sure that the belt is on there. If the drive belt is gone, you'll have no power steering and the battery light will be on. And to put on a belt and replace whatever part made it come off will be very difficult, may even have to pull the front end to the service position, best bet is probably a shop. But if it's just the belt is gone, and your shop is close, you can make it before it runs out of juice from the battery, the coolant is run by the timing belt, so don't worry about over heating it, just killing the battery.
