Question about 2002 Pontiac Grand Am
My interior lights will not shut off when I close the doors and/or lock the doors. I pulled the fuse for now but I would like to get this working. How?
Although I have never been in your particular Model I helped someone the other week with the same problem.
Your light switch that turns on all headlamps is it a pull type? if so try twisting it anti clockwise you should feel a small click if it is the interior light switch.(Anti clockwise off Clockwise 1 click on)
If not please don't press the unacceptable button come back to me I'll sort it somehow.
Oh please remember to rate my effort if sorted!

in the door jams there is a switch it should be a little post sticking out about a half an inch that you can push in by hand. it's one of those switches. their should be what looks like a nut at the base put a socket on it if it has that and it will screw out.

SOURCE: door sensor
Will pushing on the door-closed switch turn off the alarm? If it does, extend the button with something glued on to it so that the door will operate the switch. If the switch is damaged, it will need to be replaced.
