SOURCE: what is throubleshot p0113 at ford escape 2001

Intake air temperature sensor faulty. Depending on what engine, may be in side of air cleaner or air intake hose , or may be part of the MAF (mass airflow ) sensor. You can try cleaning MAF with tuner cleaner from radio shack or TV repair place.

SOURCE: location of the bank 1 sensor 2 O2 sensor on a 2001 ford escape

B1 means the sensor is located on the same bank of the engine that has the #1 cylinder. B2 is located on the opposite bank.
S1 means the sensor is located BEFORE the catalytic converter
S2 means the sensor is located AFTER the catalytic converter

You didn't say which engine you have, so I've included the diagrams of both 4 cyl and 6 cyl so you can see the banks

How do I change the transfer case fluid on za ford escape

Hi there,

CAUTION

New transfer case lubricant must be installed any time the transfer case has been submerged in water. Also, transfer case failure CAN result if the correct fill procedures are not followed.

NOTE: The transfer case is lubricated for life and is not to be checked unless a leak is suspected or a repair is necessary.
  1. Remove the drain plug and drain the transfer case.
  2. Apply sealant to the drain plug threads and install the plug.
  3. The fluid level must be even with the bottom of the filler hole with the vehicle on flat, level ground.
To Fill:
  1. Remove the fill plug and fill the transfer case with SAE 75W-140 synthetic gear lubricant.
  2. Apply sealant to the fill plug and install the plug.

Cheers,

I want to replace my transfer case for a 2006 Ford escape. Can you tell me or give me so information how to do it

You need to raise the truck off all four wheels the remove the rear drive shaft then remove the front drive shaft .Next drain the fluid from the transfer case . next reinstall drain plug. Now use a jack and a flat piece of wood and slightly jack up un the bottom of the transmission to take the weight off the crossmember . Next remove the croosmember brace after removing that and supporting the transmission you can start removing the wiring and contols on the transfer case after dissconecting all that now you can remove the bolts from the transmission to the transfer case , remove all but one easy to get to lower one ( you choose) now start taking the last bolt out while holding the transfer to the transmission .( two people here helps) once you have removed the last bolt slide the transfer case back torwards the rear end some fluid may come out once you seperate these two be ready to catch it with a drain pan . you slide the transfer off the transmission out put shaft and it out . flow the step inreverse to install don't forget to refill the new transfer case with fluid and check the transmission fluid level once you have lowerd the truck back down.

I'm having trouble locating my fuse box on my 2001 ford escape. It says its on the inside of the left side kick panel of my passenger seat yet i see nothing to be removed?

Just in case you didn't already know, a "kickpanel" is the area underneath the dash, also directly underneath the steering wheel. Where your feet go. Hence "kickpanel". \\
If your Escape is a late year '01, then it's possible that the interior fuse box is on the left panel of the driver's foot well. It is covered by a snap off panel that also has the fuse removal tool in the bottom.
Good luck.

Ford escape 2001. When I accelerate to overtake another car only the rpm shoot up but the speed does not increase.

your transmission needs immediate service. common with the escape. Turbine sensor or low transmission fluid in most cases. otherwise upwards to torque converter failure.
AAMCO transmissions should be your best start
