Question about 2000 Toyota RAV4

2000 toyota rav4 wont start

My Rav was fine and I didn't start it for a few days and now it just makes a clicking noise. I tried to jumpstart, nothing. I put a new starter (junkyard) on and it is STILL making the clicking noise and won't start.
What else could it be?
I am not good with cars and have a very limited budget right now. I read something about a relay switch and I found the box with relay written on it, but it doesn't look like any of them are for the starter

Sorry I guess I should of said it is a manual tranny. Also, I am not sure what you mean when you say no relay. Is there a relay switch? If so where is it?

2000 RAV 4L. Manual transmission. Starts intermittently. Pumping the clutch 'makes' the contact and the car starts fine but that's no way to operate with confidence. Replaced clutch safety relay switch. Same problem. Have been told that the only next possible solution could be the wiring from the clutch safety switch to the starter. Dealer is aware of the problem. There is NO Toyota dealer in the country who is not aware of this problem both in the manual and automatic transmissions. See other sites for recall postings for the automatic. Starter has been checked out. Battery is solid. All the postings about battery and starter issues are off base. This is an issue known to Toyota and they are eager to cover it up.

Look 1 clean terminals on battery, battery water level inside if the starter clicks means no relay, try to spin motor by hand, if engine does not turn, but I doubt it, look for clean connections on battery terminals and good jumping cables

Try putting it in neutral and try starting maybe that the neutral safety switch is out on it which means it wont start in park

99 Rav 4 wont turn over.

Sounds like your timing belt may have broken. It's really a job for a proper mechanic if so.

HI, I own a 1997 Toyota Rav 4 4 wheel drive 4 cyl, the other day it started to make this loud noise coming from the front sounds like a grinding noise, when you put the clutch in the sound goes away any...

it sounds like it is either your clutch or the throw out bearing. either way you more than likely need to have to install a complete clutch kit (pressure plate, clutch disc, throw out bearing, and have your flywheel resurfaced.

2000Toyota RAV4. stalled. wont start.

I don't want to be a prophet of doom but it sounds like the timing belt jumped a tooth. If it did the noise you heard would have been the valve touching the piston. If it went another tooth the engine will not start. You need to check the timing, correct it and try and start it. If it either locks up or won't start you probably have a bent valve.
