Parking and backup lights quit working.everything else works including instrument lights.checked fuses and parking light relay both are good. Can someone please come up with a suggestion.

Try checking out your light bulbs in parking and backup light locations. Sometimes when one bulb goes out or just comes loose, it stops the entire circuit from operating.

2005 Ford Focus - Backup Lights Do Not Work - Fuse & Bulbs Good

the sensor is on the shifter and their should be a fuse associated with it. Look at your owners manual for the location of the fuse. If there is a fuse it should control many devices and all of them would not work if it is blown.
