SOURCE: Vw polo heater blower only works on full power

all speeds go through the resistor except high that is why it will work on high you are bypassing the resistor if you are sure the resistor is good it has to be the blower spped switch on the dash

Heater blower dont work from 1 to 3 speed

Most likely cause is the blower motor resistor block. 1,2and 3 go through the resistor forth speed is is full blast therefore bypasses the resistor being the only speed setting that works when the resistor has failed

2005 Tahoe Z71, As soon as I turned on the ignition, My A/C motor kicked on full blast while the system was in the off position. I tried turning it on and off but I had no controll over fan speed or was...

the blower motor resistor has constant power all the time. these resistors have been redesigned several times, I have replaced many of them. It usually fries the connector that plugs into it also. the updated resistor, and pigtail are available at any dealer for around 150 bucks or so. underneath the pass. of the dash is a black plastic cover, remove the 7mm screws , and under it you will find the resistor, it has a large connector coming into it which usually gets burnt, and a new one will have to be spliced in, and it has a 2 wire plug coming out of it that plugs into the blower motor, if you fix it yourself, the new part will help you aid in finding it..

Air/heat blower is not working unless it is on high.

The heater resistor is probably faulty, its located near the blower fan

Nissan sentra 1998 air conditioner problem

The problem is most likely one of the following:-

1) Open circuit blower motor series dropping resistor - this resistor module is usually located in the blower motor ducting in the air flow.

2) Faulty fan speed control switch, or poor connection in the associated wiring.

Don't know cost of these items.

Full blast blower

This is a resistor switch issue(the actual switch on the instrument cluster).

Replace the resistor switch. it has failed.

Heat levels..

need new technician.if the blower motor works even with only one speed than the blower motor works and did not need replacement.sounds like blower motor resistor or resistor wiring, when there is a problem with the resistor or wiring you will only have one speed, this way you atleast have heat.so if your tech replaced the blower motor when it worked and did not need replacement then it sounds like he is just throwing parts at it,you have to wonder if he really checked anything.have the resistor and wiring checked and if ok then check the heater control head and wiring.
