Question about Mitsubishi Lancer

1 Answer

I tried to honk the horn and it did one normal, short honk and went silent. I'd like to fix it myself as mechanics are super expensive in this country.

Check fues first , if it is o.k, check for voltage at terminal on horn when the horn bttom is depressed, if there is voltage at each terminal, check for a bad earth at the horn.if the earth is good, replace the horn.

Saturn Keep blowing horn fuse

Could be a short in the steering wheel or column. Or a faulty horn relay.
You may need a wiring diagram to trace the circuits from the relay.
Usually the black wire is the ground and the green is voltage from the relay.

Tail lights and blinkers out on a 96 nissan hardbody pick up truck. Also when I turn the wheel to the right my horn honks by itself? Also my speedometer went out as well. I changed my fuses and they all...

  1. First check the alternator maybe you need to replace it.
  2. The horn honks when you turn the steering wheel because the wire inside the steering wheel is not fix.
  3. Visit a good mechanic and good electrician to check the alternator and the wirings.

Can't lock the drivers door because horn will start to honk when ever it wants...

It sounds like you have a short circuit in the steering wheel horn pad. You can have someone unplug your horn until you can have it fixed. That is if you don't need your horn. This is a totally temperary fix. Because of the airbag in the steering wheel, you should bring it to a qualified mechanic. Sorry

The alarm horn and the normal horn are not the same unit. Seems like your normal horn is bad.
