On the inside of the fuse box door there is a list of what each fuse is for, fuses will be numbered with coresponding numbers and explanation of what there for. also if fuse is ok, chanses are its the resister, its located behind glove box on top of heater box 2 screws hold it in heater box, electric plug with 4 or 5 wires going to it. i just went thru this with my 1995 chevy 1500 pick up. but before you go thru that chk. fuse, chk motor, run 12 volts direct to motor see if it works. now did the motor just quit? or did it work on a couple of speeds before it quit? well at any rate if the motor runs when 12 volts are put to it odds are its the heater resister.

Has a fuse on fuse box for blower, or look inside engine compartment fire wall usually passenger side, You will see the cylinder part of the blower motor, if fuse is not bad, try taping the cylinder part of the motor with a hammer, wile motor on" on" position and key on ignition, engine not running, if motor comes on after taping needs to be replaced, very easy task 4 screws and the electrical connection

Why does my heater fan not blow?

Could be bad fuse, bad ballast resistor or bad fan motor. You can test the motor by using a jumper wire straight from battery + to the single terminal right on the motor, if you can get to it. Ballast resistor is located under hood mounted in the heater box with two or three screws. If you unplug the wire connector from it and remove it you will see two spring like coiled wires. If one is broken, you have found the problem. If the fan does not run on any speed, most likely bad fuse. This can happen because trash/leaves get in the heater box and jam the fan which then overloads and blows the fuse. You may have to clean this out as well.

Blower not working on the ac or heater

I would check the fuse box if you haven't already. Replace any blown fuses. See if that fixes it. If it continues to blow... or if there are no fuses blown, you may have a blower motor that needs replacing.

Here is a good video of how to replace. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LoX89ZvK03Q

Heater system

There are three fuses involved, all of which are in the fuse box in the dash.
15amp radio hvac powers the control module on the dash.
10amp hvac also powers the module.
30amp high blower fuse powers the blower motor only.
Check your owners manual for details.

I have a 2005 chevy Cavalier, and the heating unit dont blow air out at all

Check the fuse first for the blower motor, fuse box is located on drivers side end panel of dash when you open the drivers door. If the fuse is okay the problem maybe the heater motor located under the dash on the passengers side, you will have to test for power with a test light, if you are getting power to the connector the heater motor needs to be replaced.

Heater motor

Does it still blow air out of the vents? Or is it blowing cold air? If nothing is blowing out most likly just a blower motor try tapping it some its under glove box.If blowing cold air could be low on coolant needs to be press tested.

if its not blowing then the heater motor is not coming on . first check the fuse then check for power at the blower motor if no power to the motor replace the blower motor resistor located on the same heater box as the blower motor

Air blows out thru the vents but just no hot air, aslo i have to hit the dash for the air to come out thru the dash vents at times.

sounds like bad acuator motor, this is what moves the door in heater box to set hot or cold air, and other motors to set air to blow thru defrost, vent or floor. good luck.
