Question about 1996 Chevrolet Monte Carlo

96 Monte Carlo Fuse

My daughters friend has a 96 Monte Carlo but no owners manual. Her interior and rear lights don't work. I'm guessing that it's a bad fuse. Can anyone tell me which fuse she needs to replace?

Look under the hood. take the top of the fuse box and look at the sticker on the inside of the top. It should tell you unless the sticker ore off. Otherwise look in a Chilton's manual at your local library.

Check the underside of the fuse box cover - most manufacturers have a diagram. You can also check the owner's manual. If you don't have a manual, there is one online here: http://www.manualowl.com/am/Chevrolet/2001-Monte%20Carlo/Manual/341

I have a 2003 monte carlo my rear defogger isn't working. i don't know where the fuse is to check it. I do know the light comes on when I press the button.

Could be a relay also. If you don't have the owner's manual, you might take a trip to your public Library and search thru their automotive section for a book on your model car.

Can't find the fuse box for a 96 Monte Carlo

The fuse box is located on the passenger side panel of the dash . you have to open the passanger door to get at it.

The other fuse boxes are under the hood, on each side under a diagonal support arm that has to be removed to get at the fuses & relays
