Question about 2004 Chevrolet Astro
My van was running strange and the battery light comes off and on. I looked under the hood and a sensor (around the ac compressor) and I can't find where it hooks up?
Good news, it could be a recall and replaced for free. Search online for your exact models recall schedule--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You are going to have to make a connector for your resistor to fit into the adapater under the dash. the new resistor doesnt reach the terminals on the connector. Even though it clips in place it doesnt reach. I took a piece of small soldier and put in the connector then plugged it in and it worked just fine. When you unplug the relay it will not work in any speed.

2 simple causes for your symptoms would be water in the fuel tank (pour drygas into the tank to alleviate this problem) or a leak in the exhaust system. If both items don't apply, check for any vacuum leaks under the hood. You've isolated the problem to either vacuum leaks or a fuel problem. Hopefully, this will give you a general area to look and solve your problem. Best of luck.

Sounds like there is a blown piston, to be sure have a compression test done on that #2 cylinder, if the reading is low, then you'll know.
A friend of mine had a 95 that did simular things only a little more,
it started smoking, dash lights flickered, etc. Finally, he had to get rid of it, the piston rod went through the engine block.
