A 91 model is simplicity, you have been putting on reconditioned units and the reconditioners have been using the cheapest bits,ie low output regulators .You could evan have junkyard units that have been washed in petrol then sold as reconditioned units.Get a proper unit from a autofactor with a warrenty

I have a 95 honda civic ex,wont start.ran fine yesterday,wont start this morning.battery is fully charged,new cap and rotor.would do u think might b my problem

if it wont turn over 1st check the ground s on the car and the battery 1st. your battery can be fully charged and the car will not start even over night this can happen. then look at the starter. Note: if you have over 109K on the car and the timing belt has never been replaced you will need to have this checked as well.

My 1992 dodge ram power 250 cummins turbo diesel wont charge replaced alt and battery and still wont charge what can be my problem?

My 1992 Cummins W250 auto trans turned out to be the Computer/ECM mounted on front fender by battery tray. Mine only acted up in cold wheather. It started out with the ASD (auto shut down relay) clicking rapidly. In addition the water in fuel, wait to start and check engine light also blinked fast. In this state, the battery would not charge.

Wont start acts like a dead battery wont even click when trying to start, had the battery checeked and charged still wont start 2001 town and coutry

Could be the starter. Check the cable from the battery to the starter. If that's o.k., on a level surface (so it won't roll very far) Pull the gear lever down in drive and try to move it forward a little. If the starter is bad the armator or the bendix may move enough to engage. Try tapping the starter lightly with a hammer. Some towns have shops that will repair a starter cheaper than you can buy a rebuilt one. Check the price first though.

MY battery will not stay charged over night but will do fine if I get it charged in the morning. Is it my altnater or a short that is draining it?

Could be the battery, during the day it's started enough to have the alternator recharge it before it weakens and won't start the car. The best way to tell is to have both checked. Some autoparts stores will do this for free.

1992 dodge truck, charge system comes on and off intermittenly, and overdrive wont, work when charging problems occur, also speed omiter and wait to start light acts up on and off, and sometimes stays...

Have you checked it for codes in the ecm? It has an ecm in the left front fender. The Diesel engine will run with out it but it uses the ecm to control overdrive and the charging system. I have had a bad crank sensor cause this. Do you know how to check for codes on dodge by cycling the key three times?

Turned off my car now wont start gets fuel acts like no spark changed coil pack still wont start

I would guess that the ECM may have stored something that might help you to figure this out. Do a compression test. If the timing is off you may see it because the valves are opening and closing at the wrong time.
Check the level of the oil and the anti-freeze.
With the sensors and all, without a scan-tool it will take much longer to figure out if this has to do with something controlled or monitored by the ECM.

The battery light and break light are on. The power is lost quickly.

IF YOUR BATTERY LIGHT AND THE BRAKE LIGHT ARE ON AT THE SAME TIME THAN CHANCES ARE THE ALTNATER IS FAILING. WHAT I WOULD DO TO TEST THIS AT HOME IS START THE CAR, REMOVE THE BATTERY CABLES IF THE CAR DIES THAN THE ALTNATER IS ON IT'S WAY OUT. IF THE CAR STAYS RUNNING TURN THE HEAD LIGHTS ON IF IT SLOWLY STARTS TO DIE SAME THING THE ALTNATER IS GOING. OR IF YOU ARE NOT SURE YOU CAN DO THAT YOU CAN GO TO YOUR LOCAL AUTO ZONE AND THEY CAN TEST THE STARTING AND CHARGING SYSTEM FOR FREE. TRY THAT AND GOOD LUCK HOPE THIS HELPED.

Charging system error

Have the fusable link checked. It's a short insulated wire integral with the main wire harness. ( if it is equipped with one).
