SOURCE: changing front wheel bearing

first take the wheel off
Then take the caliper off the rotor
Then take the rotor off the CV joint spindle
You will need to remove the three bolts that hold the bearing in place.
You will either need to remove the two bolts that hold the strut or
you will need a Puller.

SOURCE: I need the torque spec for the axle and the axle

Go to the autozone.com website and register there. It doesn't cost anything and you will have access to an online repair manual for the vehicle. (Kinda handy) They have a specification section, so the torque specs might be found there. Hope this helps and best wishes.

I cant get the axle nut off to take the roter off the front wheel

A large breaker bar and deep well socket is required to get the axle nut off. They are torqued down very tight-about 150 ft. lbs. Easier to loosen the nut sith the car and wheel on the ground, then you can raise the car, remove wheel, remove the nut and washer, and get to the rotor.

How to instal a rear bearing on a saturn veu 2002?auto repair

This would be a bolt on hub and bearing assembly. You will remove the wheel and the brake rotor or drum. Then unplug the abs sensor if equipped. Remove the axle nut if it's an all wheel drive (it is important to tighten the axle nut to the proper spec after replacing the bearing. Failure to properly torques the bearing will result in premature bearing failure). Remove the four bolts that hold the hub to the knuckle. Rmove the hub/bearing assembly.

Replacement of wheel bearing 2004 saturn ion

Put the car's front on jackstands(front suspension hanging down) and chock the rear wheels.Remove the tire/wheel.Remove the bolt/nut for the lower balljoint.Remove the cotter pin on the large spindle nut.Remove the nut(you'll need a 1/2 or larger impact gun with the correct impact socket).Dislodge the ball joint from the knuckle(a large punch rapped on the sides of the knuckle hole will help to break it loose).Lower the control arm and pull the knuckle outward(the axle shaft should now slide out). Now you should be able to remove the bolts that retain the bearing assembly.Reassemble in reverse order, thread locking compound on the bolts for the bearing is probably a good idea.

I need instructions on how to replace the wheel bearings on a 2008 hhr

The wheel bearings for ALL GM cars 2007-2009 ARE covered under the powertrain warranty...5 year 100K warranty that is. ...if you have a 2007-2009 GM car- even if it is a USED car and you are the second or 3rd owner? It's COVERED. call dealer to find out! While the wheel is on ground, loosen the large nut on the axle, Then jack it up, remove the caliber and rotor, unhook the ABS connector if you have it, remove the axle nut all the way, and then the 3 bolts that hold the hub assembly, tap the hub assy with a hammer until it slides out and the install the new one. the bolts that hold the hub on are behind backing plate. if you cant get to top bolt for hub, you can push axle in to make more room. make sure you torque all bolts. if you can not get torque wrench on back hub bolts. then tighten as tight as hard as you can with a socket wrench. but put correct torque on axle nut. call auto-zone and they should be able to tell you the axle nut torque. if no, call or visit dealer for this info. have a good day!!
