try punching the remote lock button twice. experience with 4 door s-blazers shows that it has to be done twice to lock all 4 doors. also look for "child safety" switched for the rear doors that may be disabling remote locking for the rears.

The volt gauge reads 14 volts when the truck is running (2004 Chevy 2500 HD, 6 Liter) after I shut it off Voltage gauge reads 9 volts as low as the gauge goes. The starter acts like it is not getting...

14 volts is close (14.5-14.8 volts is required
and 9 when shut down indicates a bad battery
have it load tested and then have the alternator tested for rectifier pack operation
there should be 14.5 volts DC at the battery when running or it is not charging the battery
if you have 14 volts AC replace the alternator with a serviceable unit

My 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD Diesel instrument panel went completely out and would not accelerate.

check your timing chain its probably broken. diesels have no spark plugs and uses compression ignition and uses a lot of battery charge to turn it over. thats why it sounded like it was dead. if the chain brakes the upper and lower cam and crank shafts aren't in time together so you get no compression ignition. sorry for your troubles and hope i helped

Just a hunch, is the SECURITY light illuminated somewhere on the dash when it wont start? If so, you have the anti theft shutting down your fuel injectors. Heres a link with info and solutions if this ends up being your problem. http://vatspasslockpasskeysecurityhelp.yolasite.com/

Doors on the 2005 2500 hd chev truck wont unlock or lock

They are very common for the door latch actuator assembly. Usually it starts when one particular door stops locking or unlocking. The lock rod will only partially go up or down, then gradually stop all together. The actuator used to be a separate component, however now it is integrated into the entire latch assembly. It most likely is the problem and will need replacing. If its just an issue that your key fob doesn't work anymore try replacing the battery in the fob. Then hold the lock and unlock buttons for 7 - 10 seconds to re-synchronize the transmitter.

Wheel bearings on 2005 HD 2500

I just came across your posting, If you're still having this issue, it may be due to the offset of your wheels. Too much offset can cause excessive load on the outboard bearings. If you have wheels that move the centerline of the wheel too far outboard of the bearing, then you will generally be putting too much stress on the bearing/hub assembly. as you know your vehicle has a unitized bearing assembly. If the bearing is being overloaded on the outer edge by too much offset it will fail over time. hope this helps
