If it back fired it is possible the timing jump a tooth. If so, you'll have to have the timing sprockets placed back into the proper spots. Have your mechanic do this if it's needed. But in any case have the timing check first.

your hydraulic system for your clutch has most likely lost its fluid. i would suggest checking under the car and seeing if you can find where the leak is coming from. it my opinion it is more than likely your slave cylinder has been damaged and is now leaking.
