SOURCE: cannot get 1987 chevy van 20 to keep running... stalls out

Best do a fuel pressure test. Should have chg. fuel filter from the get go. The only other filter is on the end of the fuel pump in tank. Bad gas and dirty gas will plug up fuel filter, hense burn pump up.

SOURCE: ford e350 5.8L engine flooding out. I

On the return line going back to the fuel tank,,,there is a blockage in the line,it is not returning to the tank,,check for a pinched line, the fuel pressure regulator is trying to return the fuel that is not being used, but it can not because of the restriction, now think,if the vehicle had had service,on a jack,or lift, before all this happened, and might have crushed a fuel line, either way, this has got to be the problem, the fuel can not return to the fuel tank, and the fuel pressure is forcing it threw the injectors, cause it has no where else to go,if this was AT ALL HELPFUL,PLEASE RATE,THANK YOU.

2011 dodge avenger is stalling and trying to turn off, plus it has the engine light on.

How long have you had the car? First thing I would do is take it back to the dealership, and have them diagnose the engine light. It could be a number of issues. O2 sensor, Mass Air Flow sensor, Low Oil Pressure sensor, Fuel Filter, clogged injector, and so on. If it's so bad you can hardly drive it, try this...With the engine running have someone hold it at a high enough rpm to keep it running, remove the air cleaner element and spray intake/carb and choke cleaner into the intake, use at least 1/4 of the can. DON'T use Starting Fluid! If the problem is an injector or junked up intake (usually caused by idling a lot) this will do the trick. Also, the next couple of times you go to the gas station, use a bottle of Dry Gas. This will help remove moisture/condensation from the fuel system.
Hope this helps. Good luck!

I have a 1999 Dodge Avenger and it only starts when it wants to or something. It turns over like it wants to but it just keeps turning over. i thought it was because i ran out of gas so i changed my fuel...

You may have vapor lock. This would prevent the fuel from getting to the injectors. Try pumping the gas to get the car started. Once started, if the car will stay running, your problem should be cured. If the problem remains, it could be a more serious problem like the PCM (computer). I'm guessing it's vapor lock or otherwise air in the fuel line since the problem started after running out of gas.

take the gas filter off, and blow through it, if it feels restricted, replace it.
