    Can anyone advise where or which is the relevant fuse/s for a Mitsubishi L200 cruise control, apparently this is a genuine cruise control but it was fitted after original purchase. I tried to get an answer from the local dealer as to which fuse but they wouldn't say as it wasn't "factory fitted"

SOURCE: can not find the right fuse

I don't know if this will be the same as our 2003 Montero, but I saw this when looking for a solution to our problem and thought I would mention it. The fuse for the dome light in our Montero is in the fuse box under the hood, next to the battery. It also had a weird yellow box around that fuse and another. I finally figured out that if you pull up very ******* the yellow box around those two fuses that it will lift partially up and you can get the fuse out (had to use pliers to get a good enough grip to pull it up first time). If yours is the same, you'll understand when you see it.

SOURCE: mitsubishi l200 4wheel drive light flashes

Hi, this is caused by a few things. It might be that the 4x4 switches on the transfer case are sticky or you do not have sufficient vacuum on the front diff actuator which is caused by a hole in one of the vacuum pipes or the vacuum solenoids not operating correctly. You can test the vacuum solenoids with your finger. Start the vehicle and pull off the vacuum pipes connected to the top of the vacuum solenoids. When 2wd is selected you should have vacuum on one solenoid and when 4wd is selected the vacuum should change to the other solenoid.

SOURCE: L200 warrior turbo fault,drives ok

iv only st come on here and seen this post i know exactly what this problem is. it's the waste gate in the turbo gets full of carbon and then over boosts itself and put on the engine management light and when you turn the key on and off it resets it. so what you have to do id take the turbo off and clean out the waste gate which is on the exhaust side and that will get rid of all your problems and the better you clean it out the longer it will last.

2005 Chrysler town&country cruise control stopped working

Does the cruise control lights come on when you select it? If it doesn't then you may want to check the fuse(s) that give the system power. If the fuse is blown then try replacing it. If it blows again when you try to use the cruise control then the unit it self may be bad and need replacing. You can find the fuse box location and the right fuse for it in the owners manual of the car.

2004 rodeo 3.5 with check engine light on and now the cruse control wont work and is cutting out. i have already replace the fuel pump and filter what else should i check

First off before just replacing parts it would be better to narrow down the problem. If your check engine light is on it means the vehicles computer has detected a problem and a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is now stored in the computer. This is why this system is designed this way to help lead you in the right direction as to the problem. Most of your local auto parts stores will plug your vehicle into a scanner and pull the DTC(s) for you at no cost. Your problem could be MANY different things and before I could even begin to give you an educated guess I would need the DTC. Most engine management codes begin with a "P" and the 4 numbers after the "P". If you can get the DTC I will be more then happy to help. When you say cutting out, does this mean the engine is just cutting out or are you talking about the cruise control cutting out. You mentioned the cruise control and it wasn't clear to me by the "cutting out" if the 2 were different problems or the same system. Also, I am not sure as to the reason you replaced the fuel pump but there are 2 fuel pumps on your vehicle. 1 is inside the gas tank and the other is a high pressure mechanical fuel pump mounted on the cylinder head. I don't mind helping and there isn't a cost for my help just need more information. You can reply/comment here or feel free to email me directly at csautomotivecars@att.net with your information and I will do my best to help.

Looked for 2004 Envoy Cruise Control fuse under hood. Nothing on the diagram says Cruise Control. Which fuse would it be? Number?

There are four fuses that can affect the cruise control. In the underhood fuse panel, fuses #12 & 22, and in the rear fuse panel, fuses #34 & 39.
There are other things that can stop the CC from working, stuck brake light switch, bad vehicle speed sensor, certain fault codes set by the computer, to name a few.

Cruise control not engaging

Hi there,

As you have not stated the Model of Chev, nor the Year of Manufacture, I will give you some general possibilities:

* Blown fuse
* Short or open in Cruise Control circuit
* Faulty brake switch
* Leaking vaccuum circuit
* Faulty cruise control switch
* Faulty stepper motor
* Faulty transducer
* Faulty speed sensor
* Faulty cruise control module

As with all electrical circuits, you should first check the FUSE.

However, from experience, the most common cause of inoperative Cruise control are:

Brake pedal switch: check that tail lights illuminate when depressing the brake pedal. If not, then replace the brake pedal switch (located up on the brake pedal assembly).

Brake pressure switch: depending on which model Chev you have, there is an electrical switch (look for wires) screwed into the brake cylinder (attached to the brake booster). This switch is a cruise system backup from the pedal switch and measures brake fluid pressure, to disengage the cruise control. When this switch fails, the Cruise Control will not engage. If you have a multimetre, you can test the resistance on the switch terminals (ask Chev for the correct resistance spec) - if not to specification, then replace the switch.

Cruise control release valve: this is the alternative to the brake pressure switch and is also mounted on the brake pedal, above the brake switch. This switch is designed to disengage the cruise control, just like the pressure switch. If you have a multimetre, you can test the spec of this switch (ask Chev for the correct test procedure & specs) - if not to specification, then replace the switch.

NOTE: depending on the year of your vehicle, your local Chev Dealership will be able extract the Cruise Control fault codes, stored in the Cruise Control Computer. This is always the fastest (and cheapest) way to identify the suspected component and will eliminate unnecessary "trial and error" labor costs. This test cannot be done by your typical garage and must be entrusted to your Chev approved service agent only, who will have the correct Scan Tool.

When you are talking about "indicators" we could assuming that your are refer about signal lights. This work with "flashers" devices.

For 1996 Audi A4 2.8L SFI 6cyl the Flasher is located in front seating area, driver side, under dash, behind dash lower panel, mounted above driver side of steering column.

About generic fuses, open the driver side door. Remove panel on left side of dash. Fuse box is behind panel:

What fuse is speed control

First, Please review these articles:

Where's The Fuse?

What Else Could Be Wrong?

Then to answer the question you asked...

There are actually three fuses involved in your cruise control system.

> The first is the "Cruise Control, EAT ECU" fuse. it is Fuse #4 in the Underdash Fuse And Relay Box. it is a 7.5 Amp fuse. This fuse also powers the gauge assembly, the alternator control circuit, the Radiator Fan Control Module, the Intake Air Bypass Control Solenoid Valve, The EGR Control Solenoid Valve, The EVAP Canister Bypass Solenoid Valve, the EVAP Canister Vent Control Solenoid and the Heated Oxygen Sensor Heater circuits. If this fuse is blown, the engine will not idle, The alternator will not charge the battery and the transmission will not shift properly. In general, a whole bunch of stuff will not be working.

> Next is the "Backup, Metering Lights, Turn Signals" fuse. It is Fuse #1 in the Underdash Fuse And Relay Box. It is a 10 Amp fuse. As you can tell by the description, your backup lights, dash warning lights and turn signals will also not be working if this fuse is blown.

> Last there is the "Stop Light, Horn" fuse. It is Fuse #30 in the Underhood Fuse And Relay Box located at the right rear of the engine compartment. It is a 20 Amp fuse. As you might guess, your horn and stop lamps will also not be working if this fuse is blown.

How do i know which fuse is blown on my 2005 pontiac grand prix? My engine light came on a few days ago. All my fluids are accurate but after having someone run a diagnostics from under the steering wheel...

The PCM also sends a class 2 message to the instrument panel cluster (IPC) in order to illuminate the Cruise indicator.
This is not a fuse problem . What code was pulled ? P0 what ?

2003 jeep grand cherokee cruise control not working.

Ok, the '03 Jeep Grand Cherokee uses a small vacuum line to control the servos. Since your light comes on, it's obviously getting power. 9 out of 10 times it's the vacuum hose.
Pop the hood and look on the passenger side towards the back for the engine coolant reservoir. It's most likely underneath it so you may have to remove the res. Check the vacuum hose and all vac. connections then check the electrical connections. If that's not the problem, check the cruise control connection to the throttle linkage.
If that still doesn't do it, you may need use scan tools and diagnostic procedures that are out of the scope of home mechanics.
Wish ya luck!
