No issues with timing for an alternator. Just make sure you retension through belt firmly after install.

SOURCE: ford focus 2000 alternator and belt removal and fit

Just took one out last night. It also was stuck. Had to use small pry bar to get off the front mount. Sprayed the mount with PB blast to help. You do have to use some force, becareful not to break any electrical connections. Once the front mount was free, I had to pry up on it using a small hatchet. Only thing that would fit and actually be able to pry. The alternator became twisted from prying only on one side, so I used a block of wood and tapped it back straight. It finally released from the mounts and came loose. Then the fun begins in trying to actually get it out. Had to disconnect everything around it, took two people and alot of twisting and turning. Not looking forward to getting it back in. Removal took over 2 hours.

SOURCE: how to fit a megan towbar 54 reg oasis

Firstly you need to know the make of the towbar, then you can download the fitting instructions from the towbar manufacturers website. As far as electrics are concerned, I would recommend NOT using the secondhand electrics that you have unless you have a dedicated plug-in wiring kit as the wires were probably cut and may now be too short to use and the sockets may not be in tiptop condition, It's well worth the small expense af replacing them. The actual wiring will depend on what year and model the car is.

SOURCE: i have a 52 plate freelander td4 and my timing

You don't really have a problem ! The TD4 engine uses a timing chain not a belt, thus no need to change it.

Has anyone replaced the cd/radio head unit on a 2006 Mk2 Renault Megane and been able to retain the steering wheel controls and in-dash display using a non Renault radio? Pretoria/Centurion-S.A. area.

I have a 2004 Mk2 Scenic and when I bought it 18 months ago it was fitted with a non-Renault unit and that worked from the control stalks and showed up on the dash. I removed it and fitted the original unit back in as the previous owner wanted to keep the one that was fitted. I can't remember the make other than it was an expensive one. It was a straight un-plug the fitted unit and plug in the old one. No new wiring needed, so I am guessing that as long as you use the fitted plugs then the controls should still work. I hope that is of some help.

Renault megane 57 reg 1.5 dci not starting when try to start message says low battery but battery and starter motor are fine also fan keep runing for good 10 min then it stop can anybody help me

the low battery message is probably because the alternator can't reach operating rpm's. you have to see if it has codes in the computer.
