Question about 2001 Ford Explorer
2001 EXPLOER 4WD SWITCH DOES NOTHING WHEN TRYING TO CHANGE FROM 2WD TO 4WD OR EVEN TO 4WD LOW
Mine did the same thing. The guy at the repair shop thought it was the 4wd motor. He ordered one in and it happened to be the wrong one. He then figured out that it was the computer.

Most of the time if you unhook the battery, wait a couple of min., then hook up again.
THis resets the computer, and it has worked on mine, after Ford said I was looking at
a very large repair charge.
