Question about 2007 Ford Escape Hybrid FWD

Ford 2005 Escape

Hi ever time I put gas in my Escape the gas pump keeps shutting off. Same problem! Doesn't matter if pumping fast or slow, I can hear fuel rushing back and shutting off the pump. Without a splach guard, the gas splashes out.

Same problem. It takes twice as long to fill up my tank because it keeps shutting off. Sometimes it helps to not squeeze all the way, sometimes it doesn't.

You have a vapor vent tube problem. When fuel goes in, the iar must come out. The filler pipe has a vent pipe inside it. Try putting the nozzle in upside down & see what happens. Try putting the nozzle all the way in & see what happens? Try putting the nozzle in just a little way & see what happens.
Otherwise, you may need a new filler pipe.

Why is gas gauge not working correctly since fuelpump was replaced.

Is this a flex fuel vehicle. If so, call the dealership and ask the parts dept. if there is a gauge module (perhaps behind the instrument cluster). This may be the culprit and needs to be replaced.

Every time you try to pump gas, the gas pump shuts off every 5 seconds. Doesn't matter how slow or fast you allow gas to come out. Doesn't matter what gas station. You never know when it is filled. Gas...

try disconnecting the fuel line leading into the fuel pump, let out a little fuel, then reconnect it. then disconnect the fuel line leading out of the fuel pump, letting out a little fuel.
if that doesnt work, run the car completely out of gas once. turn the engine over a few times while empty.
have you tried pumping gas with the enigine running? see if that helps. if this does help, it is probably the vacuum someplace, near the fuel injectors?

198 ford expedition problem ,can be driving and all of a sudden fuel shuts of and car slows down but dosn't completely quit

Fuel pump could be going out or fuel filter is dirty, keeping gas from passing through fast enough to make it up to the fuel rail/engine.

1996 Chrysler Sebring fuel pump automatic shut off

It sounds like the vent hose or tube from the fuel tank to the side of the inlet assembly is restricted. It can be twisted or bent. I've seen one case where it was misrouted and smashed against the frame rail. The vent tube allows air to escape while filling with fuel.

Your probably getting vapor lock. Try pulling the nozzle out just a tiny bit....like maybe 1/4 inch and see if that helps.
