Wiper stopped suddenly on 04 Ford Focus can still hear motor thou

If the wipers are not working but you can hear the motor, there is one of two problems. The wiper pivots are seized or the wiper linkage is disconnected. Can you move the wipers by hand with the wipers in the off position? If so, the linkage is disconnected. Can you move the wipers by hand with the wipers in the on position by using force? If so, suspect seized wiper pivots

The wipes want move up or down but I hear the motor and the fuse is good

If the motor can be heard running, either the wiper transmission linkage has seperated at/near the wiper motor or one of the two wiper pivots has seized not allowing the linkage to operate properly. If you can move one or more wiper arms by hand with the motor in the "off" position, it will most likely be a linkage seperation. WIth the wiper motor in the "on" position, if you can make the wiper arms move together, most likely a seized pivot

How do I fix my windshield wipers are not moving

could be the linkage is seized up. the posts where the wipers are attached get so corroded they will move very slowly or not at all. The linkage can be removed and the posts freed up but it takes some time and a lot of patience.

I am having a problem with the Acceleration, The petal may be loose? It feel like the petal doesn't go down as far as it used to, the cars takeoff is significantly slower now. I have inspected the gas...

Real good chance the throttle valve cable and linkage from throttle to top of linkage is seized, or seizing and needs lubrication. You'll have to remove battery to see it good under battery tray, and look for the piece of linkage on top where shifter linkage attaches. It needs to move freely. It also regulates your shift points as well, when passing etc. If you push gas pedal hard, it will begin to stick in lower gear longer (revving) before it shifts up, and will downshift hard as well when slowing to stop. Gas pedal will feel stiff, until you get it freed up. Try penetrating lube like WD-40 first to get it freed up, then spray white lithium grease or similar on it after. Do not try to remove nut holding it on, and remove linkage, just leave it on there and keep working it until it will move a full sweep back and forth freely. If you remove that piece of linkage, shaft will drop down and need to remove pan etc to fix it. If you need a picture, let me know, I have one from past experience with same.

I have a 2005 ford galaxy with slow wipers

Hey there. I had a similar problem on my 2001 galaxy diesel. On research it's a very common problem. If you are mechanically minded it can be an easy fix with a bit of time. You need to remove the whole wiper linkage and motor and free out the bushes that hold the wipers in position applying pbc grease before refitting. Continued use will only result in your motor burning out which is 350+euro from ford and if the linkage seizes completely then another 400+euro so catch it before it's too late.

My wipers are very slow on all speeds and keep sticking

Common problem with Golf, the wiper linkages are partially seized on the spinldes. The spindles are the rods that stick up out through the plastic panel at the bottom of the windscreen and the wiper arms connect to them.
Disconnect the wiper linkage from the motor and try manually moving them but I think you will find that they are seized. You will need to completely remove the linkage assembly and clamp it in a vice and use a lubricant spray oil to work into the spindles. Either that or fit a new or good second hand linkage

I have an audi a4 2.5 tdi 52 plate 03 reg, the wiper motor has started moving very slowly sometimes stopping {impossible to drive in the rain} is this just the motor needing replaced?

its not the moto!!!its the part were the wiper arms bolt on through the scuttle have to take it all out and put it in a bench vice and drill a very small hole in the aloy part so you can get some spray in to it!!once it is freed up fill the hole with grease to stop water getting in it.i did the same thing to an audi a6 a few weeks ago.

Refitting windscreen wiper linkage

Good evening Kah2110,

I assume you have replaced the linkage by now and all is fine?

I have freed a sticking spindle (driver side) but now find I can't seem to get the wipers arms positioned properly - did you find that there is a sequence/procedure to follow?

Many thanks
