SOURCE: SPONGY BRAKE PEDAL

spongy brake pedal indicates air in the system... have the brakes inspected for leaks as it leaks when you apply the brakes and sucks in air when you release them.

SOURCE: 2005 f150 spongy brakes

it sounds like your still not getting all the air out of your lines. it helps to have a brake bleeder but they are expensive, it also could be that the gasket inside the master cylinder is inverted even if it is a new master cylinder this could be the case, ive had four bad remanned ones in a row, before i got a good one... hope i could help

SOURCE: Spongy brake pedal even after ABS bleed and base brake bleed.

Did you adjust the rear shoes out? If the rear drum brakes are out of adjustment they will give you a lot of pedal travel. If the pads are worn have no fear of that U-CLIP brake spring, just change one shoe at a time. Take the spring off one side, change the shoe, put the spring back on the post and do the same to the other shoe, no problem.

2007 renult trafic 2000cc brakes spongy and every now again total loss of brakes no fluid leaks

If there isn't any leaks and it has been worked on lately. Then replace the master cylinder. Seals are bad in it. If it has been worked on, Re bleed the lines, probably has air in it.

Spongy brake pedal on 2003 Frod escort zx2.

loosen of the hand-brake adjustment and press the brake pedal a few times to self adjust the rear brakes.
Re-tighten the handbrake adj last.
Front brake sounds like a seized caliper,If possible remove caliper and clean and lubricate the piston.
This may work but replacement caliper may be the only other solution.Make sure the caliper slides are also clean and lubricated and the brake pads are in good order.(TRY THIS FIRST)
Also new brake shoes can make the pedal feel spongy for a couple of hundred miles until they have been run in.

How do i release the brake caliper pistons to be able to fit new brake pads on a renault trafic 08 van. thank you

Renault trafic brake calipers on the front can be pushed in with a G-clamp, but rear calipers need to be wound in, if you look at the piston it has notches for a winding tool!

Haw to bleed abs brakes on my Renault Mégane brake pedal spongy.

when bleeding brakes always use a hose (windsheild wiper hose works great) put one end of the hose on the bleeder cap and the other end in a bottle of brake fuild so no air get's back into the line.
