Question about 1999 Dodge Durango

01 durango only blows on high

I replaced the resistor switch, it worked for a few weeks... it's happening again. Is it the blower motor itself?

Doubt it was a rebuild but i would suspect that part has failed again... if you have a multimeter perhaps test it... tho the fan may be causing the part to prematurely fail.

2003 dodge durango heater switch hasnt worke on high for a while today stopped working all togethor

It's probably the blower motor resistor. It can overheat and burn out, often melting the connector so the connector cannot be separated. See the linked YouTube video for information on replacing the resistor, and connector if necessary.

2000 durango blower

The blower motor is located under the passenger side of the dash. there should be power on the dark green wire at the blower motor. If there is no power check the 40 amp blower fuse and the blower relay. If there is power than ground the light green with white wire with the blower motor plugged in. If the blower does not come on than the blower is bad. If the blower comes on than you have a ground issue. The system is ground side controlled which means the switch provides ground. If the blower does not work on high I would suspect the ground wire is burnt on the backside of the switch since high speed bypasses the resistor.

you can get a new resistor and you have to start the blower at hi always to avoid over heating in the resistors and protect the thermal fuse, the second after you had started the blower you can select any speed.

My 02 Stratus heater only works on high. Any idea

Your blower resistor is bad. It controls the mutiple speeds to allow you to go from low/med/high. When it goes bad you get one speed or no speeds....It's about $20-$50 at any local auto parts store. It mounted directly to the speed switch or on the heater plenum unit on the passenger side behind the glove box....

Fan blower only works on high speed (4) not on any lower speeds

this is caused by the blower resistor as you correctly diagnosed, but the new resistor is blown because the fan motor is drawing to much current and blowing the resistor back out, replace the blower motor and resistor again.
