Question about 1985 Toyota Tercel
My tercel, (a recent buy) runs well, but when i turn on the heat full blast, the fan runs but only spits out cold air. it doesn't seem to matter how long i run it, the air only gets up to chilly instead of impossibly cold. it been suggested that i should backflush the heater core and that i can do it with a garden hose but i was just wondering if there's anymore information you can give me. do i just hold the garden hose onto the lead or try to attach it somehow? afterward do i just hook it back up or is there more maintenence i need to do before driving it?
any help is greatly appreciated.
Before you flush the heater core. I would check your thermostat first. Does your temp gadge goes up or stay the same while driving? if it does it's your thermostat.
