Question about 2003 Chevrolet Blazer
My blazer started making a loud clunking noise in the rear. The noise is louder when turning left or when I start off or reverse. it sounds like it does ot when it is trying to go in gear or it could have something to do with ABS

It sounds like you have a bad c v or constant velocity joint. Look under the car next to the wheel look for a rubber accordian type unit, if the rubber is torn or lose the grease has escaped and damaged the joint. You can replace it yourself, but if your not mechanically inclined would say take it to a shop.

It sounds like your 4WD is still engaged and you need to have it serviced. It's common for the 4wd to get stuck in the on position with the button pushed to the 2wd mode. As you turn the front wheels are binding with the rear wheels. There is a vacuum switch on top if the transfer case on the drivers side that may have gone bad and needs to be replaced. You can pick it up at Auto Zone for $25.00 and $85.00 at the dealer, there is three vacuum hose attached to it that needs to be disconnected and then the switch can be un screwed from the transfer case like a spark plug.. Good luck and hope this helps. keep me posted, be glad to answer any question you may have.

Sounds like possibly a wheel bearing has started to go bad. Use a floor jack and jack stand, get the wheel and tire up enough to work it side to side, it may be very loose. the jack stand is for safety, make sure to use it.

I'm Going to say the low/reverse 1 way roller clutch is broken, you are hearing the low/rev.planetary gear set spinning.it is at the very rear of the tranny, right where it bolts to the transfer case.It may have died of old age but the ones I've broken have been rocking the truck out of snow or holeshots. If that's the only thing wrong,it's a cheap(used) part but the whole transmission has to come apart, lots of labor.
