Question about 2003 GMC Yukon Denali
I have a '03 Denali I bought used in July with 130K miles. One of the problems that it has is that the lights flicker, brighter then dimmer, constantly. ALL the lights -- dash, radio, headlights. The alternator tests fine, but you can watch the voltmeter fluctuate. What gives?
I have the exact same issue with my '04 Envoy. A friend of mine had a similar problem with his '10 Silveradoo. He had the alternator replaced under warranty - only to have the problem return a few months later.
My advice - don't sweat it. Mine has been doing this since I've owned it (7+ years) with no ill effects really. I can see the lights dim and brighten - and even see the voltmeter showing the changing voltage just like you do.
Sorry I don't have a definitive answer for you - but at least you know you're not alone and it isn't an indication of impending doom.

Your problem sounds like a loose connection. Seeing as all the lights are affected it will probably be the feeder supplying the fuse box or three body chassis ground connection.

See GM TSB 05-08-143-001, If you have Adjustable pedals, especially if they don't work with the memeory buttons, but function with thier own buttons. Its the Brake Pedal Position Sensor is shorted and mesing up the seat module which controls the heaters too. My 05 Suburban had the same issue

my 2002 had same problems and to fix, I loosened the hose clamp on the throttle body air intake to air box hose. Then opened the butteryfly by hand and used throttle body cleaner, used carb cleaner on another, and removed all the black grime that collects around the throttle body butterfly. About every forty thousand miles i have to do this. I have 123k on mine now and have done it three times. Fixes the low idle, dying in reverse, lite flicker and alternator dropout.
Home it works, if it does
