I don't know what kind of car/truck you have, but there is typically a brakelight switch that screws into the top of the brake peddle. They are pretty easy to change-out, but you will need a spotter at the back when you are adjusting it. An online search for your vehicle/model/year brake switch will tell you if it can be done fairly easily or not. Good luck, and the Lord be with thee!

If you are sure that the bulbs are not burned out then you need to test the socket to make sure they are getting power. If no power at that point then you are looking at a bad socket, wire or fuse.

Brake lights dont work with car off

Yeah why would you need break lights if the car isn't running. It is to save the battery i assume. But as long as they work while your driving thats all that really matters. =)

Toyota tail lights not work

It could be a bad switch. if the blinkers dont work then it could be a bad multifunction switch or flasher relay. If the brake lights dont work it could be a bad break switch (located under the dash above the brake pedal). If its just the running lights could possible be the wrong kind of bulb. If nothing works at all it may be due to bad light sockets.

My rear lights do not work i have break lights signal both left and right and hazards but they dont work

I would start by inspecting ALL your fuses. If they're good then you probably have a bad headlight switch -(tail lights, dash light - also run off headlight switch)
