1997 Landrover will not start, battery is good

I have a 1997 Landrover that will not start. Just had the battery checked and it is good. The engine just clicks when trying to start. Any suggestions. I think it may be the starter

Bad battery cable connections (loose/dirty). Starter (stuck/dead). Only going by what you wrote, could possibly be engine (seized). I hope not! Most likely it's bad cable connections. Best wishes. Hope that I helped.

Changed battery and now start 2005 landrover

Well, lets start with do you know the new battery is any good? If you are certain it is fully charged try the following.

Check for correct polarity.of your new battery

Ensure that your battery connections are tightly done up. If you can move them by hand using considerable force they are no good and need to be tightened

Check the connections on the other ends of the battery leads are tight.

Check the condition of the battery leads. They must not be worn or frayed..

1997 landrover freelander, battery boiling, smell

Possibly an overcharging alternator or US battery - I would get the alternator charge rate checked.

The ckeck engine light landrover keeps coming on light on my 1997

There are so many different things that could cause the check engine light to come on,you could spend thousands trying to fix things and still not get it to go off.I would check my fluids, make sure they are good.If you have a state where it will cause you to fail inspection,it would need computer diagnostic test.If not,I wouldn't worry too much about it,unless your car starts to run bad, misfiring or jerking around, stuff like that.If it is running fine, piece of cake. You would not believe some of the minor stupid junk that will turn that light on.If you are having bad running issues, just reply to this post and I will get an auto email saying that you did and we'll see if we can figure it out.Good luck! Alarm and imobiliser on a discovery 300tdi

before you cut or rewire the alarm, when welding the disco although disconecting the battery protects the battery, the imobiliser holds current, this my have gone into system factory setting, so it my be worth getting the imob and key re-conected, this is a cheap job at any Landrover specialist. hope your running smooth soon

Landrover discovery wont start but battery is good

This usually is the starter, especially if your truck has had an oil leak going for a while as the oil will run down into the starter and cause it to intermittenly fail. Also check your battery terminals and make sure you have a good connectivity.
