Humming There is a humming noise coming from the front. I thought it was the tires, I replaced them, and the brakes. The roar is unbelievable.

Sounds like the wheel (hub) bearings to me. Good luck and best wishes to you.

Grinding noise coming from the front wheels. Thought is was the brakes, so replaced them, but still grinding noise. Could this be a wheel bearing?

Yes, a wheel bearing will roar or hum when they are wore out, sometimes when you turn for a curve the noise stops and when you continue on a straight path it starts again, probably just bad wheel baron. You can sometimes jack car up and test to be sure by placing one hand on top of wheel and one hand under bottom of wheel and shaking wheel by hands to see if it wobbles or has excess play . Front end hum/noise

The hum could be being generated by the tires. I would move the rear tires to the front (as they are a different brand) and see if the hum is exactly the same at the same speed.

High speed hum can also be generated from the design of some types of brake rotors but I doubt that is the issue in this case.

From what you have described I would not have thought the problem would be wheel bearings so I am surprised that was the diagnosis before a more careful investigation was carried out. I would have tested the tires first. (I would not have put the old wheel bearings back in either after they had been changed).

Humming noise when car is moving

most likely if its a hum it could be tires , if its a roar it could be the drive train

support the vehicle on jack stands , start the engine , put in drive and let it idle, if noise is gone ...its the tires if not check the drive train ...start with fluid levels

2006 f 150 4x4 hub noise front. I notice a noise coming from the front. I thought it was the tires whichj are new but it could be something else. Sounds like a hum but not sure. This hum can be felt when...

They now have a bearing assembly, you replace the unit as one. The humming sounds like a Blazer I did last week. Same noise/humming over 25MPH..? Sounds just like road/tire noise. Hope this helps.

When driving it makes a loud roaring sound, thought it had bad brakes but after they had been replaced the sound was still there

Is the roar coming from the front tire area? If so, you may need bearing hubs. You need to be absolutely positive where the noise originates from and if turning corners or different speeds affect the noise. If you hold a steady..say 50 mph and shift into N and coast does the noise stop, if so, you may be looking at a tranny prob.
