SOURCE: R & R power window drivers side

I am in the process of doing this now to my 96 Lincoln Towncar. Today I removed the door panel. Hidden scews that attach the door panel are at end end of the door pull strap. The plastic end pieces are removable and each have a screw underneath securing the top of the door panel.
Hidden behind the water shield material at the top of the door are two nuts that retain the top connection of the window lift. I am going to razor cut a straight line through the water shield material to insert a socket to remove the two nuts and then put duck tape over the razor cuts rather that pull the water shield material from the door frame.
Started drilling on the left rivet to detach window from the regulator and quit for the evening.
Have three rivets to drill to detach the pwoer window motor from the door frame.
Two more rivets at the bottom of the door to drill out to detach the lower window regulator from the door frame.
Do not know how I am going to remove the right rivet of the bracket that hold the window yet. Looks like a would need a long drill bit to reach through the door frame to make contact with the rivet.
The replacement rivets that came with my window regulator are to big for my rivet tool. Could end up using nuts and bolts. Sure would make it easier for the next window regulator replacement.
Hope I have some good luck using the drill tomorrow. kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd

SOURCE: just had car dealership repair 1997 lincoln town air ride

Those Lincolns are notorious for that,I'd just get a set of coil springs out of a Crown Victoria cop car(junk yard)and swap them out.Done it many times, you can do it in about an hour, and they'll never leak down again.By the way, there's some O-rings in that system.Make some soapy water and spray every connection, just maybe you'll get lucky.

On my '98 Lincoln Town Car, on the rear, air bag levelers, when do I need to replace them?

when your ride compressor runs and the car still wont raise up.this means a major leak. if it levels when the key is on or engine running but lowers again while not on, it means a slower leak. how fast it goes down will show you how big the leak is. if you are strapped for cash you can usually get by replacing only one bag, cause the leak is usually on one side, from a rock or debris caught between bag and housing.but if you can replace both to be sure of level riding for a good while.

1996 lincon town pump works and cuts off before airing up

I am new at the Air Suspension issue myself. My 96 is beginning to have some issues. But, have you had the Height Leveling sensor above the rear axle checked out? The position of this sensors 'arm' is what tells the system to turn on and off the Air Compressor in order to maintain a level ride height. From what I have read. these sensors wear out. A faulty sensor could be telling the compressor to kick off to soon.

92 lincoln towncar air bag light flashing

Air suspension is controlled by the compressor in your engine compartment.  The compressor runs when the suspension is not level.  Either because you have loaded the car with exceptional weight and the system is now adjusting the ride, or you have a leak in the system, or you have a bad sensor.
If you have a leak, the most likely culprit are the air suspension bags, the air suspension solenoids or possibly the lines to them.
Try these sites: http://www.strutmasters.com/catalog.php?cat=2

I don't work for either of them.  I own a 96 TC and have replaced my air suspension with coil springs form Strutmasters.  Work GREAT and I have no more air suspension problems.  Rides just as good too.  You can't tell the difference.

Suspension

Yes, there is a rear ride height sensor.
Looks kind of like a little shock absorber.
You might be able to find it at NAPA or similar parts house.
You're looking at least $100.00 to $175.00 for the part if you can find them.
