Is the car overheating or running hotter than normal? it could be the coolant temperature switch not working. it could also be something as simple as a relay in the fuse box

07 Saturn Aura XR The fan on the climate control is not working When I turn the temp up hot air slowly comes out of which vent is selected and cold air when i turn it down But the fan will not work

Your Blower Control Module/ Blower resistor is probably bad. It controls fan speeds. The blower motor itself could be bad, I doubt it unless it was making noise previously. The blower resistor is under the passenger side dash.

Radiator cooling fan will not turn on unless you turn on the air conditioner

Does the engine overheat? The fan is not designed to turn on until the engine reaches about 225F, so 90% of the time it does not run except on the hottest days..

I have a 93 4runner v6 manual. I went to turn the heater on the other day and no air was coming out of it but when I started driving down the freeway air started coming through the vents. When I stop

sounds like your fan is either jamned, burnt out or even frozen, you might be lucky and find its just a blown fuse, you'll need to check your fuses box then start investigating if the fan turns freely or not

if you put the air on recirc you might be able to stop cold air blowing in when you are travelling. if you are waiting for a garage to sort out the fault then get a fan powered by the cigarette lighter, air moving over the window should at least keep mist clear even if it doesnt defrost it

Fan turns all the time. Replaced fan clutch and it worked okay for one day and now it turns all the time again.

The fan will turn all the time. It will spin at a much slower rate when the air temperature coming from the radiator is cool enough. Once the engine gets warm enough, the air going through the radiator will make the liquid in the center of the fan clutch get more liquidy and that makes the fluid go the outside edge and "grabs" the other part of the fan clutch causing the fan to spin at a much higher rate. Sometimes you can tell by the sound difference. Because my truck has a large fan, when the clutch "engages" it sounds like an airplane powering up at take off. Unless you have electric fans on your vehicle it will spin as long as the engine is running,

1989 camaro cooling fan failure, how do i fix it

When was the last time the thermostat was changed , the fans are only supposed to come on before the temp gets to high if the fans come on when you turn the air conditioner on then it is not the fan.

Cooling fan direction??

Yes, Massive air flow from the first fan is causing air to be brought in from not only the front of the radiator but from the fan right next to it causing reverse air flow through the fan. This intern can cause less dirrect airflow through the radiator. Also, the recirculation of hot air (from the first fan) into the second fan, across the radiator and back to the first fan can cause the vehicle to run hotter. Wile the car is moving there is enough air pressure from the outside of the vehicle to flow directly through the radiator with little fan assistance needed. If you have the engine running and and turn on the a/c, you should hear the fan change speed or even see the second one turn on (If the fan is working), there is no delay. You might have a bad relay and good fan, as there is a separate relay that activates this same fan for the a/c.
