06 Ford E450 V10 rough idle

At idle motor has a rough idle new plugs new boots new fuel filter. fuel pressure at 55psi. cylinders 2,8 and 10 show low contributions on scan tool. it doesnt matter if the motor is hot or cold. have a couple new ford coils that i have installed on the more problem cylinders, doesnt help. can not find any vaccum leaks at intake plenums or hoses. new tps sensor also on vehicle. If cylinder 2 is misfiring and io pull a connector off a coil or fuel injector on the same bank that cylinder goes dead and 2 will smooth out. any info would be appreciated.

SOURCE: Getting a code of misfire on cylinder 2, Bank 1 and lean code

Higher compression usually only happens when extra oil is introduced in to the cylinder.Your rings seem good due to the good compression .If there is a worn valve guide in that cylinder this would allow oil to seep into the cylinder .Also allowing for extra rocker arm movement which could be your chirping noise and cause a rough idle. The lean code sounds like something different like the is still a vacuum leak.It sounds like you know cars well ! I hope this helps

2.3l 2001 ford ranger rough idle and running rich and misfiring with p0301 code

You have to correct the cylinder misfires first

You may have vacuum leaks somewhere in the
intake or exhaust

You really need to look at data with a scan tool

You start with Mode $06 & cylinder misfire count ,if that
even works well on your motor

Then you look at fuel trim & add short & long together,
to get an idea if it is running rich, which would be a lean
condition from a vacuum leak or rich from leaking injectors

All the data is only good if you haven't cleared it or disconnected
the battery. If you did, then you have to drive until all I/M Monitors
run & then look at data

You look at O2 sensor data & even scope them

You made no mention of checking for codes
No mention of a cylinder leak down test for valve leaks
Exhaust Converter age or condition !
Fuel Pressure !

Ok I will be a little more specific,1998 Chevy astro van runs rough. Was diagnosed as a tune up so now has all new ignition parts (cap, rotor, distributor, ignition coil, spark plugs) fuel system completely...

I don't know how you determined that you aren't getting fuel to those cylinders but if that is true, you now need to determine why. You have to determine if those injectors are receiving power supply and pulse. You also need to first verify fuel pressure. This engine will give you a world of problems if the fuel pressure drops below 55PSI.

Subaru forester 2005 has rough idle...

Spark Plugs --change every 3 years?
Front O2 Sensors-replaced at 100,000 miles?
MAF Sensor-cleaned?
Egr System works as it should?
No cylinder misfires?
No Vacuum Leaks anywhere?
No stored codes?

Shall I keep going?

You have to work on all vehicles at least twice a year
& look for problems

Alternator has no ac leakiage
Fuel filter new
Fuel pressure good
Air filter?
Throttle Plate doesn't stick?

Hard starting, no power, idles rough, check engine lite code shows misfire on #1,#2 and #3 cylinders

check fuel pressure, check fuel pressure regulator, change fuel filter. If fuel pressure is low it could be a bad pump, a clogged filter, or a malfunctioning fuel pressure regulator. If all those check out, then check crankshaft and camshaft position sensors.

Sounds like a bad fuel injector. Shop would need to run a contribution test to confirm. I must say, good detective work, good luck.

I know this will sound Stupid But, Change the Cap Cap. If the Seal is Bad on the Cap it will allow air Into the Fuel tank and Cause your Rough Idle.
