Question about Ford Fiesta
Tape works ok but the radio doesn't pick up a signal. Info on the radio shows correct station but no sound. I thought the aerial had disappeared but it is sitting on top of the car as normal. Any suggestions?

I would trace the wire from the horn and see if it was inadvertently damaged when the alternator was installed. If you have a voltmeter, you can remove the horn fuse and check to see if there is continuity between the horn (non hot side) of the fuse and the car body. This would indicate a short in the wire running from the fuse box to the horn. You can also look around the alternator mounting area to see if any wires are being pinched. Hope this helps. Good luck!

you could try plugging a spare antenna in where the stock one is but it sounds like its toast so call around at junkyards. I bet you could find an exact replacement for real cheap, or maybe even a better upscale version then go to autozone.com for radio removal instructions. you have to set up a free account to get the directions
